What does an osteopath appointment look like?

The first part of the appointment the practitioner and client discuss the chief complaint and assess the progress. This is followed up by a personalized mix of hands-on techniques (ie. cranial therapy, visceral touch, musculoskeletal, lymphatic and vascular techniques). Make sure you wear comfortable and flexible clothing for an optimal experience.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation 24 hours before your appointment: No charge. Cancellation under 24 hour window: 50% charge. No show: 100% charge.

What if I miss my appointment?

If something comes up and you can’t make your appointment, please give us a heads up! We ask that you email, text or call us, 24 hours prior to your appointment otherwise our cancelation policy may be applied.

What if I'm late for my appointment?

If you’re running late for your appointment, first take a breath and gives us a call to let us know! If you are more than 5 minutes behind, the practioner will have to honour your time slot consequently your appointment lenghth will reflect your tardiness.

Are MVA claims accepted?

Unfortunately, MVA claims are not currently accepted at Amplified Healing.

Is osteopathy covered under health insurance?

This all depends on your plan with your insurance provider. In most cases, manual osteopathy is covered. Since it’s not a regulated profession in Canada, it is your responsibility to double check before your initial appointment. You can email us at hello@amplifiedhealing.ca to make your experience a smooth one! A gentle reminder manual osteopathy isn’t covered under OHIP.

Do you do direct billing?

As of right now, insurance companies do not accept direct billing for Osteopathy. Stay tuned though, positive changes are coming!

Will I be issued a reciept for insurance benefits?

Yes! We will send a detailed email receipt and if requested, we can also print the receipt for you. Be sure to double check if your insurance coverage includes Osteopathy Services and that Andréanne’s Osteopathic association is part of the approved suppliers. How is my personal information protected?

Amplified Healing uses the Jane App for all your personal information, and it follows PIPEDA.

Where do I park when I arrive at Amplified Healing?

There is limited free parking behind the building on a first come first serve basis. Kingston Road offers Green P Parking as well as free on street parking (1 hour limit). If you park on Kingston Road, make sure you double check the signage!

What are the TTC options to get to Amplified Healing?

The 503 streetcar drops you off right in front of the building! Otherwise, the 501 and 506 streetcars are also good options. The closest subway station, Main Station, is a short bus ride away (64).
